Today we are writing about Michal Maslák “Stercore’s Multi Musician” Jimmy had a chat with him in this guitardoor interview.
At the beginning of our Promo for Gothoom Productions and the Band “Stercore” Guitarist, Michal gave us some of his valued time. He is not just the “one-trick pony”. He has had a hand in many areas building through the last 6 years bring us up to date with their newest release “The Death Head”
“How did the Band come together in the current membership?”
“The Formation of the band started about 2012. Over the years there have been changes of members on the bass and guitars. I come to the band in 2016 as a drummer but in 2018 i changed from drums To Guitar.”

What are your musical heroes and influences?”
“I like all genres of metal music…
My inspirations consist of mainly metalcore and bands involving Melodic approaches as well. My first band which “deflowered” me was Bullet For My Valentine which I still like even today.”“Other bands I like are Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, Trivium and others.”

What specific gear and Guitars are you working with and why do you choose them?
“Currently I play a 7 string LTD guitar but this year may bring a collaboration with Ibanez guitars. I hope it works out. I had a chance try one type of Prestige I was very “wet”. At home and in practice I use an IBANEZ (RGDIX) but Prestige so far seems the best instrument I have had in my hands. We will see.

On live shows, I use a Kemper classic. Very good and clean sound I have it in our band sound profile and I am very satisfied.”
“So Michal Maslák What can you tell us about the history of the band and also Future plans?
“As I mentioned The Band started in 2012 IStarted in 2016.
The band released some albums without me of course.

The Album INDIFFERENCE I composed the parts for the guitars and Bass and other things, how vocals developed, choosing samples, etc. I worked closely with Matus our singer .”

“For this, I wrote quite a bit but two songs on it we’re working with our second guitarist. As for plans for the future… play play play a live show everywhere. The last two years ..we have not played more of course due to covid However we often play in the Czech Republic, and it has a very good metal scene and people visit it. This year we want to tour some in Europe..and of course some dates in Slovakia, Czech Republic maybe Hungary and Romania we will see .. Hoping for the best.”
