Black Pearl Releases New Single “Take Your Time”

Take Your Time Black PearlTAKE YOUR TIME (feat. Marcus Malone, Muddy Manninen & Pete Feenstra) - Single

Blues-rock heritage band Black Pearl is pleased to announce the release of their new single, “Take Your Time.” The song features vocals by Marcus Malone, guitar by Muddy Manninen, and lyrics by Pete Feenstra. It will be released on December 17th on Redline Records.

“Take Your Time” is a soulful and bluesy track that features a combination of Marcus Malone’s soulful vocals and Muddy Manninen’s dreamy guitar parts. The song was written specifically with the intention of evoking a feeling of time and space, where everything eventually will fully reveal itself.

The band’s self-titled debut album, which was described by Blues Blast as having “The grit of the blues, embellished by layers of Clapton-style funk and Skynyrd-style rock with a shimmer of 21st-century techno on top,” was a belated follow up to the band’s debut album. Raw Ramp called the band’s music “Mature and meticulous instrumentation, smooth rhythmic performances, remarkable vocals, lyrical soul and guitar translucency.”

Black Pearl was born in lockdown and subsequently played a few Euro festivals, but was then put on hold while band members toured with separate projects. Buoyed by the new single, the band will embark on a European tour in February.
