Some news just in about a great new EP out now on all music stores featuring guitarist Marcus Malone who we wrote about a while back and his album with guitarist Muddy Manninen and their Black Pearl Project.

Now two Marcus Malone songs are part of a posthumous Sherman Robertson EP. Titled “One More Time”, the EP title comes from one of two ballads that Marcus contributed to the project. He has also released it on his own Redline Music label.*

Sometimes, the most powerful music comes from a single, unrepeatable moment. That’s the story behind “One More Time,” the posthumous EP from the legendary bluesman Sherman Robertson. It’s a raw, energetic, and ultimately heartbreaking snapshot of an artist’s final studio session.
In August 2011, Sherman Robertson, a man famously hesitant about recording, stepped into Blue46 Studios in the UK with his touring band.

The plan was to just see what would happen, to lay down a few ideas for a potential new album. What followed was pure magic. By the end of the day, Sherman was dancing around the mixing desk, buzzing with enthusiasm and creative energy, listening back to the rough tracks they had just cut.

Tragically, that magic was never recaptured. On his flight home, Sherman was taken ill. He would never return to the studio, or the stage, again.
For years, those recordings remained unheard. Now, thanks to the efforts of longtime friend Marcus Malone and with the blessing of Sherman’s wife, Mary Beth, we can finally hear them. “One More Time” presents those four rough tracks just as they were left that day. While technically unfinished, they vibrate with the raw, untamed energy that was Sherman’s signature. It’s a testament to his incredible talent, a single moment captured in time.
As drummer Jamie Little, who also co-produced the session, writes,

“Although technically unfinished they embody the raw energy that followed Sherman everywhere. A snapshot in time… We miss you Sherman.”

Here you can listen to “One more time” on Spotify and the EP is also available on most music stores click here to listen on other streaming platforms such as Pandora and YouTube Music
