BLACK PEARL ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE ‘TAKE YOUR TIME
Black Pearl the blues-rock Heritage band featuring Detroit vocalist Marcus Malone, Finnish guitarist Muddy Manninen and lyricist Pete Feenstra announce a new single called “Take Your Time”.
Release date is 17 December on Redline Records.

‘Take Your Time’ features Marcus Malone (Motorcity Hustlers/Malone Sibun/ Motown artist & European Blues Awards nominee) on vocals; guitarist Muddy Manninen (14 years with Wishbone Ash / Gringos Locos/Hipkiss) & Tomi Malm, Finnish producer, arranger, and composer on keyboards and drums. He also mixed the song at Xenoble Studios, Helsinki.
Lyrics are by songwriter Pete Feenstra who says of the song;
“I specifically wrote this with a combination of Marcus’s soulful vocals and Muddy’s dreamy guitar parts in mind.
The idea was for the music to evoke a feeling of time and space, where everything eventually will fully reveal itself.
Tomi’s rhythmic architecture and mix was the icing on the cake.”
‘Take Your Time’ is a belated follow up to the band’s self titled debut album, which was described by Blues Blast as having: “The grit of the blues, embellished by layers of Clapton-style funk and Skynyrd-style rock with a shimmer of 21st-century techno on top.”
Raw Ramp called the band’s music: “Mature and meticulous instrumentation, smooth rhythmic performances, remarkable vocals, lyrical soul and guitar translucency.”
Black Pearl was born in lock-down and subsequently played a few Euro festivals, but was then put on hold while band members toured with separate projects.
Buoyed by the new single, the band will embark on a European tour in February
